Danny Cole grew up in Los Angeles and began to study magic at the
age of
ten. Under the tutelage of magic teacher Loren Christopher Michaels,
he
simultaneously learned contemporary approaches to sleight of hand
as well
as ways to research and develop entirely new systems of deception.
He also
studied at the Chavez College of Magic under director Dale Salwak
and
learned classical manipulation. Soon Danny became involved in the
Academy
of Magical Arts Junior Program whose home base is the Magic Castle
in
Hollywood. There he collaborated with other young magicians and
began to
hone and develop his particular style of magic.
In 1996 at the age of 17, Danny Cole won the prestigious Lance Burton
Teenage Stage Contest held in Las Vegas, and the following year
Lance
featured Danny's act on his NBC television special, Lance Burton,
Master
Magician: The Encounter. In 1999 the Academy of Magical Arts honored
Danny
with its Platinum Award for Outstanding Junior Achievement and later
that
year, the World Magic Awards Committee awarded Danny the Rising
Star of
Magic Award on international television.
In 2004, Danny starred in an hour-long magic special called THEM,
which
premiered on NBC television on June 23, 2004. Also, the membership
of the
world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood voted Danny Cole the stage
magician
of the year for both 2004 and 2005.
Today, Danny is clearly one of the world's premiere magicians. He
refuses
to imitate and instead insists on developing new concepts in magic.
Danny
plans to continue to modernize the art of magic, bringing new concepts
in
illusion to contemporary audiences
