Joseph Gabriel and Katalin

Johnny Carson, kingpin of American late-night television, introduced Joseph Gabriel, and what transpired on the “Tonight Show” stage for the next several minutes was sufficient to amaze millions of viewers and leave Carson himself visibly and vocally enthused. “One of the classiest magic acts you’re going to see in a long time! The best I’ve seen!” This was Carson’s reaction after witnessing Joseph Gabriel’s first appearance on the Tonight Show in 1983. Over the next several years, Joseph would appear a total of seven times with Carson. Gabriel has appeared on virtually every major television variety show, most notably his televised Command Performance for President Reagan.
Back in April of 1983 Joseph was booked for one week at the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood. The response to his act was overwhelming! For the next couple of months he continued to rock the magic world until he achieved the break of all show business breaks. After only seven months in Hollywood, he was asked to perform on the “Tonight show” with Johnny Carson. Months later, February 1984, Joseph Gabriel made his Las Vegas debut fittingly in the most lavish show in town, the “Lido de Paris” at the Stardust Hotel. Two years later he was asked to be the starring act in ”City Lites” a the Flamingo Hilton where he performed for ten consecutive years.
In 1996, Joseph made a mega-leap from Las Vegas act to Broadway star, when he created and opened his own full evening show entitled, “MAGIC ON BROADWAY” in New York City. The show opened to rave reviews and ran for and unprecedented 18 months. Within the first three months, Joseph’s show broke all box office records at the Lamb’s theatre. After returning to Las Vegas, Joseph performed at Caesar’s Magical Empire in Caesar’s Palace. A 60 million dollar facility that rivaled any Hollywood special effects sound stage. The Magical Empire was an amazing two hour theatrical dining experience that ended with a spectacular stage show.
For those of your who have not seen Joseph perform, you have every right to feel denied. He is a master of sleight-of-hand and has created some of the most spectacular illusions in the world of magic. Gabriel’s stage presence is commanding, distinctive, and hypnotic. His originality in style and presentation is a sight to behold, making a marvelous mixture of kinetic energy on stage. It is his creativity and power of performance that has brought him to the forefront as one of the leaders in shaping the future of magic. After seeing Joseph perform, there are only two words you will think of when you think of magic…
JOSEPH GABRIEL.

Katalin was born in Budapest, Hungary
and developed an interest in magic when she was just 6 years old. It was very difficult for her to learn magic due to the lack of information about magic in Hungary and also because there was no one in her family in show business, never mind a female magician! So, in keeping with tradition, Katalin became an apprentice to master magician, Janos Habok. After years of study, discipline, and determination in 1997 Katalin was able to compete and win first place in the Junior Category at, “A Festival for Magicians” in Czech. At just thirteen years old she is the youngest person ever to receive this award.
In 1998 Katalin performed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for their annual “Family Festival”. The Festival had Katalin doing three shows a day and it was in Dubai that she really began to hone her stage skills and develop her strong stage personality.
Later in 1998, Katalin again won first place in the “III. National Magician Junior Festival” where she
performed a sleight-of-hand act with doves. Her hard work paid off again that same year when she won the coveted, “Magician of The Year” award. Two national magic awards in one year, a feat few teenagers ever realize.
In 2001 Katalin began expanding her show and attempted something new, performing large-scale illusions on Classic International Cruise Lines. Once again the power of her performance was strong enough to have her original three month contract extended to six. After returning home to Hungary, Katalin was selected by the Commander of Sumeg Castle to create a “medieval magic show” to enhance the tourist’s experience while visiting this famous landmark. Her magical performance was so well received that Katalin became known as the “Witch of Sumeg Castle” by the locals living in the area.
2004 brought even more opportunities when she was asked to work in the most famous, elegant night club in Budapest, “The Moulin Rouge“. This upscale club features some of the finest acts in Eastern Europe. Later in 2004, Katalin decided to follow her dream and travel to the United States and to the Entertainment Capital of the World - Las Vegas.
Within months of arriving in Las Vegas, her striking beauty, engaging personality, and sleight-of-hand skill drew the attention of many admirers, one of them the producer of “The World’s Greatest Magic Show” at the Greek Isles Hotel Casino. This All-Star cast has embraced Katalin’s work and she is currently living her dream by working in Las Vegas.
And this is just the beginning for this fast-rising star of magic!
